Why We Built Heirloom Connect

Over and over we heard the same thing from friends, students, and small business owners: “I want to build something real. I can’t do it alone. I don’t even know where to start.”

Brandon left a comfortable job at Meta to chase this problem. After countless conversations with creators and owners (including his dad), a pattern was obvious: ideas die in the gap between “I have an idea” and “I have a team.” People weren’t unmotivated - they were stuck.

Andrew had just been laid off during the tech downturn. Instead of treating it like an ending, he took it as permission to build something that mattered. We’d been tossing around ideas for years; when Heirloom came into focus, we both knew this was the one worth committing to.

Heirloom Connect is our answer: a simple place to find teammates, do real work together, and turn contributions into a fair split. Just transparent contribution tracking and lightweight “dynamic equity” so people feel like they got what they worked for.
